About the FDP Programme

The 3rd International 5-Day Faculty Development Program on “Sustainability and Research in Modern Mechanical Engineering” will be conducted virtually, bringing together educators, researchers, and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge advancements in mechanical engineering with a focus on sustainability. This program aims to provide valuable insights into innovative research methodologies, emerging technologies, and best practices for integrating sustainability into mechanical engineering. The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including energy efficiency, sustainable manufacturing, green technologies, and future trends in engineering education, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants from around the globe.

About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was founded at the college’s inception and offers an undergraduate program with a capacity of 60 students. This UG program is accredited by the NBA under the Tier-I category. It provides comprehensive knowledge in the field, equipping aspiring engineers with the essential skills for a successful career in Mechanical Engineering. The department boasts excellent infrastructure and state-of-the-art laboratories. It is supported by a team of highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated faculty members with strong backgrounds in industry and research.

About the Institution

Madanapalle Institute of Technology & Science was established in 1998 celebrated its 26th year in the picturesque hilly and pleasant environs of Madanapalle and is ideally located on a sprawling 26.17 acre campus on Madanapalle-Anantapur Highway (NH-205) near Angallu, about 10km away from Madanapalle.
MITS originated under the auspices of Ratakonda Ranga Reddy Educational Academy under the proactive leadership of Dr. N. Vijaya Bhaskar Choudary, Ph.D., Secretary & Correspondent of the Academy and Mrs. N. Keerthi, Executive Director. MITS is offering UG programs such as ECE, EEE, MECH, CSE, CSE(AI), CSE(DS), CSE(CS), CSE(AIML), CIVIL and PG programs MBA, MCA, M.Tech.(CSE) and M.Tech.(VLSI) . The college is awarded ISO 21001:2018 certification for the quality policies and also accredited by NBA and NAAC A+. MITS is ranked in the band of 201-300 in the NIRF 2024 under the engineering discipline. The campus comprises of aesthetically designed buildings that are networked by Wi-fi technology. The institution is established with the well-equipped workshops and laboratories, computers with internet access, smart classrooms, seminar halls, auditorium, digital library and sports facilities that provide an excellent learning environment.
